Compassionate Pet Euthanasia in Your Home
Helping dogs and cats of Santa Cruz County and the San Jose area
Saying goodbye is the very difficult part of having pets. When that time has arrived, in home euthanasia allows the family to be together in the comfort and privacy of your home. Your pet can have a peaceful, gentle departure.
I make every effort to reduce stress for your pet and family. Sedatives are administered to alleviate anxiety and discomfort.
Euthanasia Service Area
I provide euthanasia services to Santa Cruz County and the South Bay Area including San Jose, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View and Campbell. I can sometimes travel to areas further away, please ask if this is something you need. I am available during the hours listed on this page, as well as later times when possible.
What to Expect
With your initial call we can discuss any concerns you may have about whether this is the right time to help your pet transition. Sometimes pet parents need help for their pet the same day as the initial call, and I do my best to accomodate this. Once we have scheduled an appointment, I will arrive and if there are any remaining questions we can discuss them. When you are ready, I will give your pet an injection of calming sedative and pain control. With the sedative your pet can gently fall asleep in their favorite spot. Once your pet is fully asleep I will then give the painless injection of euthanasia solution.
Included in the euthanasia fee is the housecall, consultation, sedative, and euthanasia medication administration.
If you want your pet cremated, I will take your pet's remains with me. You then have the choice of having your pet's ashes returned to you in a custom made ceramic urn or a carved floral box, or having their ashes spread in the redwood forest.
Cremation fees are in addition to the euthanasia fee.
Regular cremation with ashes spread in the forest: $85-175.
Private cremation with custom ceramic urn or wood box and ceramic paw print: $250-400.
All private cremations include a ceramic paw print tile.
Prices vary with pet size and service chosen. General ranges are listed above. Please ask regarding specific pricing and customizing an urn with a picture of your pet.
