Saying goodbye is the very difficult part of having pets. When that time has arrived, in home euthanasia allows the family to be together in the comfort and privacy of your home. Your pet can have a peaceful, gentle departure. 

I make every effort to reduce stress for your pet and family. Sedatives are administered to alleviate anxiety and discomfort.

Euthanasia Service Area

I provide euthanasia services to Santa Cruz County and the South Bay Area including Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, San Jose, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Mountain View and Campbell. I can sometimes travel to areas further away, such as Morgan Hill, Gilroy and Salinas - please see my Service Area page for more information.

What to Expect

With your initial call we can discuss any concerns you may have about whether this is the right time to help your pet transition. Sometimes pet parents need help for their pet the same day as the initial call, and I do my best to accomodate this. Once we have scheduled an appointment, I will arrive and if there are any remaining questions we can discuss them. When you are ready, I will give your pet an injection of calming sedative and pain control. With the sedative your pet can gently fall asleep in their favorite spot. Once your pet is fully asleep I will then give the painless injection of euthanasia solution. 

Costs

Included in the euthanasia fee is the housecall, sedative, and euthanasia medication administration. Cremation fees are in addition to the euthanasia fee. 

Cremation

If you want your pet cremated, I will take your pet's remains with me. You then have the choice of having your pet's ashes returned to you in a carved wooden box or custom ceramic urn, or having their ashes spread in the redwood forest.  Cremation options are detailed on the Cremation pages.
